my rash

I have had a rash for about 3 weeks and I think it started after going into a hot tub.  could this be some kind of staph infection?  I have a suppressed immune system and my doctor thought it was topical and probably from laundry soap.  I changed soap but it didnt help. whatdo you think?

thank you for your info, years ago I experienced a staph infection of the skin and I took an antibiotic to cure it.  Now is different because of my immune system, would an antibiotic lower my white count?

Hi,

A rash is a very broad term and does not indicate the nature of the lesion that you may have developed. Since you mention that you have a suppressed immune system, you are susceptible to a lot of the infections which are not usually seen in people. This may lead to the rash that you may have noticed. Staph infection is a common infection of the skin and is treatable. A rash from laundry soap is probable cause in case of an allergic reaction. However, nothing can be said for sure.

Hope this helped. Let me know if you may need any more information/help.
