Hi,
This could be a fungal infection, eczema or dermatitis. Eczema is broadly applied to a range of persistent skin conditions. These include dryness and recurring skin rashes which are characterized by one or more of these symptoms: redness, skin edema, itching and dryness, crusting, flaking, blistering, cracking, oozing, or bleeding. Areas of temporary skin discoloration may appear and are sometimes due to healed lesions, although scarring is rare. In contrast to psoriasis, eczema is often likely to be found on the flexor aspect of joints or skin creases.
It would also important to rule out fungal infection or tinea versicolor which menifests as oval or irregularly-shaped spots, often merging together to form a larger patch with occasional fine scaling of the skin.It may be pale, dark tan, or pink in color, with a reddish undertone that can darken when the patient is overheated, such as in a hot shower or during/after exercise. Diagnosis is usually through skin scraping analysis of the lesion and viewed under the microscope. This usually responds to anti fungal medications.
It would be best to have it evaluated by your dermatologist for proper management. Take care and keep us posted.
