hi
i was just looking for some info before i go to the dermatoloist next week on a rash that keeps appearing on my chest it kinda looks and feels like sunburn {without the sun}and generanally appears in the morning it is all over my stomach and down the flanks and is sometimes raised it will then completely disappear after an hour .my skin feels sore to the touch when the rash is there and also feels tight.this has being going on for a while but everytime i go to the doc it is not as raised.
i was just wondering if anybody had any ideas or questions i could put to the doc when i visit or what it could be related to
thanks in advance

Hi

Do you have any history of allergies?

You have described the rash to be similar to a sunburn , thus I would picture this as a reddish rash. The rash is also elevated. You have not mentioned of any itchiness which may decrease the likelihood of a fungal infection and dermatitic skin conditions. History of atopic conditions like asthma, allergic rhinitis and known allergic reaction may suggest that this could be allergic in nature. Actually a red rash is very nonspecific. Other factors such as a viral infection and even autoimmune diseases may be considered here.

no it is not from excersise i is always there every morning after i get up and can sometimes appear during the day ,it may look or sound like heat rash but is really sore
and accually looks inflamed
i dont know if it is from broken blood vessels or some kind of muscle disorder if one such exists,it is really confusing

Hi

What triggers the rash? Is the rash triggered by sweat or strenuous exercises?

This must be a case of sweat rash or miliaria. This may not be something you should worry about. Miliaria is due to blockage of the pores with bacteria or dead skin. This may not be something which would present with symptoms ( as in the mild form) or it may be severe enough to cause discomfort.

Is this something similar to your skin condition?
