I never considered a tick bite...I do live in a woodsy area in North Carolina and have picked ticks off the groin area..At one point i had felt something crawling near my anal area but chalked it up to be all in my head.....
i also noticed the rings on my groin..no other ares of the body...
Hi,
Are there similar lesions in other parts of the body?
Differentials for this will be a fungal infection and dermatitis. Also other conditions that may appear as red rings are erythema annulare and erythema chronica migrans. It is important to note if similar lesions are also present in other parts of the body.
Erythema annulare usually begins in the lower portions of the trunk and they present as reddish rings. A second ring may develop over the outer part of the first ring.
Erythema chronica migrans consists of a single expanding red ring that may be associated with a tick bite.
Have you any recent history of travel?
Any known history of allergies?
