red pimple

Good morning,

in the past couple of weeks, i've been getting these small red pimple on the chest area and forearms, they are like normal pimple, but without the white stuff in them, they do not itch but seem to appear more and more and they persist for about 2 weeks.

some info on my health background. In good health with no known allergies. I have had taken a full STD test 2 months ago and it came back negative for all HIV and common STD except for Herpes type 1.

although i am taking some anti-acid, prevacid.

what could causes this ?

thank you

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
These small pimples can be due to folliculitis, allergies, contact dermatitis, sweat dermatitis or heat rash. Avoid using any lotions and creams for the meantime. Use a mild cleanser with moisturizing properties like Cetaphil. Also use cotton clothes and change the clothes twice if there is any increased sweating. Try keeping the skin free of sweat as far as possible. If the symptoms still persist then you can apply mild steroid like dermacort.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
