Hi,

If there are no itchiness, pain, swelling or discharge, at this point, I do not think this is something that may require immediate intervention.

Continue to observe the condition. I would assume you are outdoors most of the time, so you may opt to wear  sunscreen with at least an spf of 15 for protection. Just observe if the condition appears to progress like if the spot enlarges, gets redder, painful and if there is any change in appearance.

This may not be something to worry about. Just avoid any possible triggers like direct sun exposure, extreme temperature changes and  certain food.

its not itchy, i can feel it tingle from time to time. the spot is there more or less all the time. the spot never fully goes away just fades in and out (really red some days and just barely visible others)

Hi,

Hi,

So this red spot is not persistent?

Based on what you have posted, this spot seems to resolve on its own?

Is it itchy?

This may be a fungal infection, an irritation or dermatitic response to dust, heat ,change in temperature. If you tend to rub you nose or scratch it, then it is possible that you could have irritated this.

Just observe the condition. I do  not think this is something which requires urgent intervention. Observe what triggers the redness or discoloration to occur. If the spot persists ,if it enlarges and presents with pain then, you may opt for a follow up consult.

Apply sunscreen on the face when you spend time outdoors. An spf of at least 15 will help.
