skin help

I have these red itchy bumps I saw my dermatologist he said it's "acne",  but I want a second opinion because these things itch like crazy sometimes, not to mention no family history and I'm 25,  he put me on tetracycline and derm oil,  but they have not cleared at all in 2 weeks,  should I just have these tested then or see a new dermatologist?

Hello,
I would suggest a second opinion from a dermatologist as I don’t think that these spots are acne.Acne don’t itch.I would suggest you to get eczema, scabies and fungal infections ruled out.Scabies is an infestation of the skin with the Sarcoptes scabiei mite. It is characterized by intense itching, usually at night and by small insect-type bites lesions on the skin. Diagnosis of scabies is made by scraping the skin and viewing the material under a microscope to see the characteristic mite or eggs.

Eczema is a form of chronic dermatitis (rash).Allergic reaction is one of the important causes of eczema.

I hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional doubts. Kind regards.
