slight skin erosion on nose due to lemon squeeze(will my normal skin be restored?)

i usually have a soft, supple, normal, clear skin on my face.but two weeks, ago a girl who had pimples in her face, spread her infection to me.my nose would be oily when compared to rest of my face.the very same day, i developed sore(eruption) in that area(nose) where she touched.it was painful when i touch it.i pressed it hard and in due course,it developed a wound  i thought it had started healing as the a dark, hard layer covered that area(usual in common wounds).but during that time, i had dead skin layer developed near my nose, which i removed through scrubbing.the wound came off one day,(after 1 week) but shockingly, instead of the white skin which would be usually found, it had left a dark, brown spot in that area. i used some lightening creams but of no use for next one week.i thought i can't wait any longer.so i decided to try natural lemon juice. i squeezed lemon and pressed it hard on that area in my nose for about 15 minutes without knowing. (5.12.09)but that it eroded the outer layer of my skin in that area alone.few blood came off and some white inner layer was shown off.immeadiately,i am now using turmeric, herbal antiseptic cream, aloe vera on that area. will my normal skin be restored? i am not every fair, i am bright dusky colour(indian).will my normal skin be restored?

doctors, please pour in your any valuable suggestions.

Hello,
The pink skin is due to healing of the skin which is due to granulomatous changes. Please do not mess with it and let it heal on its own. It may heal with post inflammatory hyper or hypopigmentation and then the treatment can be decided.

I hope it helps. Take care and regards.

the skin started healing after that, then i think u can understand what i am saying.a brown hard layer(usually wound to cover wounds) started to form on that on it;s outer edges.but it was not so hard.it was so delicate and fragile.so it accidentally came off and blood started to bleed again.i took good care by applying aloe vera and other m oisturizers like u told.but now i think there is not that so called brown hard layer has formed to cover up that area, n i think the skin has started healing. but instead of white layer which must be seen, i see very slight pinkish layer seen. but the texture of skin AREA IN NOSE is smooth ,not rough.only the coulour need to be changed.

WILL IT  ANYWAY LEAD TO CHRONIC NON-HEALING?can anyone tell me what is chronic non-healing and when it happens.doctor, please say whether it will heal or not. will the melanin pigments be restored to normal and will i get the normal skin back?

Hello,
The scar that you had after the sore was due to post inflammatory hyperpigmentation and the application of lemon juice has caused irritant contact dermatitis. Avoid using any lotions and creams over the face for the meantime. Wash your face with a mild cleanser with moisturizing properties like Cetaphil. Pat your face dry. Then apply a good hypoallergenic moisturizer over the area and see if this improves. If the symptoms still persist then you can apply mild steroid like dermacort.

If the irritation persists then please get it evaluated from a dermatologist. Also for the hyperpigmentation please do not try any remedies on your own but consult a dermatologist and get prescribed hydroquinone or azelaic acid creams.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your dermatologist. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
