Hello,

After reading your post, I feel that the lesion that you are having is due to scarring and pitting of the skin which is a rare side effect of electrolysis and occurs due to carelessly or rapidly done electrolysis or due to the sensitiveness of the skin to electrolysis.

Unfortunately for this type of scarring or pitting, there is no medical cream as such which can treat it but surgical excision by a good plastic surgeon and laser resurfacing have given promising results.I would therefore recommend these two.All the advertised creams which claim to treat it are an eye wash and although tough for you,but the condition can be treated only from a plastic surgeon or a cosmetologist/dermatologist.Pls consult them for these pits.

I hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional queries.Kind regards

Well i was hoping that it will fade out with time(like I said it past only two and a half months from elestrolysis)...some doctors who had seen a photos, and one surgeon who saw me (i'm visiting him for laser epilation) told me that there is possibility of resolving within one year to 18 months...so you don't think that skin can restructure this with time...? you consider it as permanent type of scarring?
P.S. Sorry for my english

Hello,
Chances are there that the small pits can fill with fibrous tissue after some time but these are remote chances.Laser resurfacing will be a better treatment options if the scars remain.

I hope it helps. Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or in case you have any additional doubts. Kind regards.

what about TCA peels?
i don't want to have laser treatments close to my eyes...
what about those medical peels? can they give better results than laser...?
main issue - what can I expect from any treatment ( be it laser or medical peel) diminishing or disappearing? (hope the answer would be the second one)

Hello,
TCA peels can significantly improve freckling, blotchy or uneven pigmentation, sun damage, fine lines and wrinkles and shallow acne scars but for the pits caused by electrolysis, the results are not too good.Laser resurfacing  is better. The other method is filling with injections of collagen or hyaluronic acid.

Hope it helps. Take care and regards.

sorry for bothering...i have one more question...I thought that the acne scars and this type of scars are very similar...that's why I wanted to do TCA peel... but now you say it isn't...so can you tell me something about this type of scarring...how deep damage is? cause...they seem pretty shallow to me...and all this time i was searching for something that helps with acne scarring (since they seem very similar to me) cause there is nothing about electrolysis scars...
and...you didn't answer to my question from before - "what can I expect from any treatment ( be it laser or medical peel) diminishing or disappearing?"
thank you very much for your answers!
sorry again for bothering!
take care!

Hello,
Depending on the extent of damage to the skin, the scars of electrolysis can be sunken or stretched scars.Laser treatment helps in diminishing the scars and in some cases collagen filling also helps.

Hope it helps.Take care and regards. You can find more relevant information on the following site: http://www.scarinfo.org/scar_facts.html
