I want to add, there are two marks to the left and right of the bumps. I just had surgery (appendectomy), so its still healing. But these things were there before that, so its not related! Also, if the picture is too difficult to view, there is a full sized image here: http://www.jeremy-jordan.com/IMG_1456.jpg
Hi,
Do you shave the area?
This was the site of the appendectomy? If this is so, then they must have shaved the area prior to surgery.
The lesions look like razor burns or folliculitis. This may be due a local bacterial infection. Ask yout primary physician for an antibacterial cream that may be used over the area. Wash with a mild and bland soap and avoid "popping" the pustules. This may aggravate the condition and may cause the infection to spread.
I first noticed these bumps when i shaved the area maybe sometime in mid to late january. I think i may have shaved that area once after that... and then they shaved it for the appendectomy... and when i took the surgical tape off, it did seem that the bumps had worsened a bit.
Do all antibacterial creams require prescriptions? Just wondering.
