vulva itching

I have vulva itching that lasted about 5 days with no discharge or any symptoms related to a yeast infection. I still bought OTC monistat. Went away after the 5 days. Dont ****** or have any new soaps.  It is back again and the only thing I did was fertlize the lawn and pulled weeds the other day. I did notice my hand my fingers stung after I touched a weed , and washed it right away. Could this have anything to do with an allergy? Also my 3 yr old needs help toileting and I help her wipe, last night she said she itched in her "private area".  I have no STD's, no lesions, no warts, no foul smell in vaginal area, and no rash or red area . I feel stupid to go to the doctor about this. Can you help?

Hello,

Without examination ,confirming a diagnosis is tough but it can be due to allergy to weeds, vulvovaginitis(inflammation of the vagina and vulva) ,pinworms and vaginal infections.Pinworms is a strong possibility because your daughter is also having itching in her private parts and moreover you help her wipe.

I sincerely advise you to get a stool examination of yourself and your daughter done to rule out pinworms. If found negative then other possibilities should be probed.

Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep us posted if you have any additional queries. Kind regards.

It sounds like it may be an allergy simply because there are no other symptoms but I would go to the doctor just to be safe.  They won't think it's stupid they're there to help.
