Gastroparesis is characterized by constant nausea and vomiting with severe and crippling abdominal pain. It effects every part of your life and makes it impossible to eat anything. My husband has had it for over 5 years and lives off Boost and yogurt. We have finally been approved to have a gastric pacemaker put in. He has had it for almost a month now. He is now eating small meals and is able to hold them down. Most insurances do not pay for it and if they deny you it will take a couple of years to be able to get it. . We had to fight for it for over a year and then pay over $1000 to have it put in. We are hoping that this works. Although now he is having stomach pains in the lower right side of his stomach now. We have a CT scan scheduled to see what is going on with that now.
