Hi,

I am 28 years old now, but was diagnosed with type 1 Diabetes when I was 22yrs old. The Type2 Diabetes is where the person has a lot of weight gain and has developed Diabetes from the weight gain, but can be controlled.

Type 1 is totally different. I was in great shape too. It runs in my family so that's probably why I have it. (bummer) It was really hard for me to control my blood sugar, as at first it was always high!

If you still get on here and have questions, let me know! I can let you know a lot of info and advice!!!

sounds like need to contact the doc and make some adjustments to insulin and start watching carbs because carbs turns into sugar. My daughter is a type one diabetic and my half sister is a type 1 diabetic both diagnosed at age 7 my sister actually lost half her leg and almost died cause she went into a diabetic coma. Also have alot of family with type 2 diabetes. My recommendation is to try to keep each meal around 40-70 carbs but would deffinatly disucss with doc first.

Are you taking pills or do they have you on insulin? Sounds like you need to contact your doctor. Something just isn't right. Do they have you watching your sugars or carb counting? Drink lots of water to get that sugar to come down some.
