My second day on Victoza. I am Type II Diabetic. BMI of 43 also. About 100 lbs currently overweight so, I really need to lose. No nausea or headaches so far. Seems my appetite is less but, we shall see if that continues. No allergic reactions either. Just a side note, I am not a Christian so, I do not believe in a mythical being healing our bodies or our souls. Hope everyone does well on Victoza and for those who do not, I hope you find a medicine that will work for you.
umm exercise walking -- diet no junk food - min alcohol -- exercise

I eat protein and veggies I have cut most carbs out -- but reward myself with ice cream and doritos lol ... its about burning the extra carbs !!
Really, kickbacks? You know how much money a doctor gets from pharmaceutical companies, pharmacies, device manufacturers, etc. for prescribing a medication?
Nothing. Ever. Under any circumstances.
This is criminal behavior that is completely unheard of in the last 15 years.... Some doctors receive do money from these companies to do talks/presentations on these drugs, but that is a far cry from a kickback.. Your doctor does not make money off of what drugs they prescribe.... please don't misinform others, there is enough bad info out there on the internet.
I've found that bread (or any carbs) make me very ill. But I have to eat something if my stomach starts hurting (normally cherries or Activia). Are you also on Metformin? My favorite foods right now are Rotisserie Chicken, Green Beans, and Rainier Cherries. I don't like yogurt but started eating Activia (Peach) for the live culture and it helped. I feel like the Victoza is forcing a low carb diet... I don't even want bread and I've only been on it for a little over a week. I've lost 12 pounds and my BGL has gone from 290 to 108. I chose to leave the metformin out for the weekend until I could talk to my doc and my constant nausea/vomitting/diarrhea have moved onto occasional diarrhea. Since my BGL are still dropping I get to leave off the Meformin and continue to monitor BGL.
I have been on Victoza for 18 months and I have never felt worst. It makes me develop blockages in my stomach that causes extremely bad egg smelling burbs that lasts for minutes each, diarrhea and eventually vomiting. these are violent events that have involved hospital visits. It has happened 3 times and it is horrible. I hate this medicine and want to come off it but doctor won't let me.....oh ya...I have gained about 18 lbs.
You are totally WRONG about Medical Professionals getting a "Kickback"!!!
