It is not uncommon that after chronic anorexia, at a certain point binge eating follows.
You likely haven't managed to clearly identify the root of your
food bingeing nor the triggers.
The usual underlying issues are poor self-image, low self-esteem, depression, stress, etc.
It might be wise to contact the National Eating Disorders
Association (NEDA) which can be a great source of support and guidance for you at this time.
It is a free resource and the people there can also connect you with a trained volunteer counselor, who has experience achieving recovery!
The best thing is that you already overcame anorexia, which is quite an achievement.
Beneath your perception of yourself, there's a strong and beautiful person who has the desire to live a good and normal life.
You just need help to peel off those underlying layers which are supporting this (false) perception.
Let me know if you need any further details.
Best wishes,
Niko
My recommendation is setting an alarm and trying to go to sleep in order to maintain a good sleeping pattern as well as not binging in this period. Or instead buy a book and read. Meditate.Just distract yourself with a task you enjoy or simply binge on fruit or something light with high fibre.
