We were once advised by a vet to feed wheatabix as a morning meal and then a main meal later in the day, as a means of getting our dog at the time to lose a few pounds without losing any of her food intake (all dogs love their mealtimes, so it would have been cruel to just cut one out). When feeding Wheatabix for this purpose, make sure you use tepid water rather than milk.
Good to hear your dog is eating normally again. Maybe it was just a bit of a tummy bug. Tony
well would not do that again with the weetabix just went right through her she has ate today and seems fine thanks for the advise.
OK what food are you giving her? Maybe you ned to try another one. There would be no harm in giving her Weetabix on the odd occasion, but Weetabix has very little in it which a dog, especially a growing dog, can use.
Your pup needs canine nutrition.
Can you think -is there any reason why she might be refusing her food? Has this happened suddenly? Was she eating fine, and then suddenly one day wouldn't eat? If that's the case, I would take her to be checked by the vet. She needs all the nutrition she can get at her age.
