Recovery from spaying operation

Are there any suggestions for taking care of a puppy after going through a spaying operation? What are some ways to expedite recovery and minimize pain?

Just try to keep her on the calm side,NO jumping up on any
couches, beds, chairs( or down off of them) for 5 days, also it
would be best she did not go up or down steps for this time
frame also.
IF she wants to race or run around, you may need to put a
harness and leash on her, keep her close ( hook the leash
to your belt)so she is slowed down or use a crate to allow
her to rest, lay down more.IF you have steps to go outside
pick her up,carry out,let her potty then carry back inside.
Your vet should have given her pain meds for around 2-3
days after surgery my vet always does this.
( you did not say when, how long ago she was spayed?)
There are no "faster ways" to recovery, you just monitor her
to be sure she doesn't over excercise and pop a suture on
the outside or inside for around 4-5 days, outside sutures
get removed after 10 days, check her tummy for any red
or inflamed areas around the sutures or draining,if any
is found call your vets right away.
If you have any more questions your vet or tech there
will be happy to give more information to you.

Thank you! She was spayed two days ago, but doing much better already. It's amazing how quickly they recover. We're still keeping her from too much exercise and making sure she leaves her suture alone.
