how long will my Lula live?
Hi, I'm struggling to figure out how long my 8 yr old weimaraner may still have. She was DX with CKD at months old. Her last blood panel (2 months ago) revealed bun 126 and creatinine at 4.1, elevated calcium levels. I switched her food to Hills KD diet formula and she recieved sub Q fluids. Seemed to be bouncing back but the last 2 weeks took a turn for the worse. She won't play, even with her favorite toy (tennis balls!!) Sleeps a lot, no interest in food, just goes to her bowl and walks away. Not drinking her fresh water. Vomiting almost every other day. I'm heartbroken as you all can imagine. My question is, what do I do?? Is she to far gone or what should I try? My vet says sub q fluids may not help anymore but I am not so sure. Any insight is SO much appreciated. Thank you
