Limping Pup

I have a 5.5 lb toy poodle X Chihuahua. She is almost 5 years old and recently I noticed her limping. I noticed it after we went on a very big walk, and it lasted for about 2 days, then it was totally fine. I took her for another big walk last night and now she is limping with the same leg again. Does anyone know what this might be?

Thank you both so much! I will get stairs & start her on a joint supplement. Much appreciated!

I agree w/Margot....Is this girl a jumper? It's NOT the jumping up that causes problems, it's the jumping down off of anything......Also, very hard on the neck & spine......Since your girl has 2 breeds that commonly end up w/disk disease, I would start now to not overdo...That means pet stairs on all beds and sofa....Trust me, it will be worth it...Also, you need to start her on a good joint supplement in general......If you are seeing anything other than a front leg limp (Such as bent posture or head hanging too low) then she needs to see her Vet.....Otherwise, I would give her a few days to heal and go from there........Karla

Could be muscle strain, some arthritis, etc.  hard to tell.  Maybe limit to short walks and she if she limos.  I would limit her jumping on and off things.
