Snowbird...as Karla said, this still applies to what is going on with your
little girl today...and this post IS TWO YEARS OLD...don't know that
Karla or others on the forum would go back and see your post...
please re-post NEW to the forum so others can see this is important
is a NEW post and applies to right now...
I still believe that this is something your girl needs to see your vet
about and the sooner the better since she is 15 years young...we can
speculate and guess what is going on but your vet needs to see her
to evaluate..I realize she is an older girl but there are times a vet can
suture the uterus or do something else for her if this is in fact a pro-
lapse and this I don't know for sure???
PLEASE do take your little girl in as soon as possible to be checked
she needs to be seen...

What if the female dog is 15 yrs old. I have a AKC Pug, noticed this morning, the hard like pink thingy is came out of her vagina. It feels hard, like a greasel, I pushed it back in, but it keeps to pop back out, she's not been spayed or had any puppies, but she is old. What can I do to make it better, losing her would kill me, I have multiple Scelerosis and the worry isn't making things better for me. Please HELP with any suggestions!!
My dog gave birth to 3 puppys but then there was a pink thing coming from her virgina well took her to the pet hospital and found out it was a uturan prolapse. The doctor tryed to stitch it in place but it was sliding back down again so t hey put my baby girl to sleep :'(.

But thanks to you Misfits4me u truly brought some comfort & assistance to me and my household..

Thankyou so much for your responces!! Yes, I see online now about this, wow, oh no! I am going to have to take her to a vet to be sure that it doesnt get infected or anything. Thanks so Much Misfits4Me, for looking up and doing research online for me! That was really kind. Wow I hope it doesnt hurt, poor thing.
This does sound weird really. I can't tell you I know what this is. The only thing to do would be to take her to the vet, let them take a look at it.
There may be something a little wrong, especially as she is suddenly laying around and not interested in playing. Dogs do that when they are unwell, or feeling pain.
I would definitely get this checked out as soon as you can.
This is not normal. I would take her to the vet who I am sure is going to suggest a spay. The red ball thingy is actually an overabundance of swollen tissue from your female being in estrus. Basically she has a vaginal prolapse. (NOT to be confused with uterine prolapse!) This can be serious and lead to infections of the reproductive organs and urinary tract. In some ******* it can lead to difficulty in urination. She should be spayed when she comes out of heat and this will prevent further occurrences. In the meantime, keep the area clean and protected. It is very important that it does not dry out. You can clean her with warm water and lubricate it with KY or vaseline. I would make sure she is on a clean linoleum to prevent carpet fibers and dirt etc sticking to her. Which can cause further complications.
Good luck and let us know how she is....Karla
