LOL!  On the dog treat issue, we have taught our dogs that ice cubes are the greatest treat around.  "Who wants a frosty paw?!"  They go nuts chasing the cubes around the kitchen floor, and when it gets smoking hot down here in the summer it's a quick way to help them cool down.

By the way "Frosty Paws" is a commercial brand of dog ice cream.  The dogs love it, but ice cubes are free.  LOL!

I sympathize with you!  Puppy farts can be deadly!  LOL

You can minimize the amount of gas she produces by first making sure she has been wormed and has no intestinal parasites.  Take a fecal sample to the vet and a 15 minute test can tell you whether or not she has a parasite load.  If she has not yet been wormed, I can almost guarantee that she does.  A good anthelmintic followed by a second treatment in two or three weeks will take care of those worms.

The other thing you want to be sure to do is to feed her the highest quality puppy food you can afford.  Grocery brands, while they contain everything that is required by law, usually contain lower quality ingredients and the vitamins and minerals are just slightly more than the minimum required.

The premium brands cost more, but you need to feed less of them, so it all works out in the end.  I would slowly eliminate the wet food, replacing it with the high quality puppy kibble.  If she is reluctant to eat dry food as some puppies can be, soak the kibble in hot, hot water for a while until it becomes "mushable" and then mush it up with a fork for her.  To make it more appealing you can add a dash (maybe 2 or 3 tablespoons) of evaporated milk just to make it creamier and more appealing for her.  As she grows, gradually eliminate the evaporated milk and then eventually you can start sneaking in some purely dry food for a snack to see if she'll eat it.  When she will readily eat just the dry food, you're good to go and she is fully weaned.

For the time being, keep her treats to a minimum.  Puppies are just like human kids and will quickly ditch their nutritious dinners in favor of snacks and junk foods.  When you do give her treats, make sure they are specifically formulated for puppies.  Adult treats, especially the soft-moist ones that taste like bacon and other yummy things have a LOT of additives that can play havoc with puppy tummies until they are older.  No rawhide chews, either.  Rawhide is difficult enough for adult dogs to deal with when they swallow it, but puppies can't even begin to digest it.  For chewing, a Nylabone or Gumabone is best, or a canvas toy that has been soaked in water and frozen.  The frozen toy will come in handy when the puppy starts to teethe.  It will feel good on her gums and will save a lot of wear and tear on your furniture and shoes.  When she's a bit older, you can get her a Kong toy and fill it with things like peanut butter, cream cheese, etc., freeze it, and let her spend her time figuring out how to get the yummy stuff out of the center.  It keeps them busy and out of trouble for hours!

yuck.... i have a great dane... it sounds like they have similar smelling farts!!

I think puppies do tend to be a bit stinkier (i know kittens are) but farts? could she maybe not be agreeing with the food you've been giving her? Also if she's 8-9weeks you probably just got her fairly recently? did you change her food or keep her on the same one that she was on before? I think that changing foods (especially without doing a slow transition) can cause gas.

Is she maybe getting some treats that dont agree with her? lol So many options!
Maybe try to rule it out by giving her only her dry food (you can give her a piece of her kibble instead of a treat...she wont know the difference!) and seeing if it solves the problem... if it does then you can try introducing other foods or treats slowly and see if it makes a difference?
good luck!
