My dog has this problem, she had the expensive surgery and it lasted 8 weeks and now she is leaking again. They stitched her tube so it would be more flat and the flow of urine would be slower and less. Poor thing had 14 staples and a major recovery and now she is back in a diaper and leaking a lot. Not sure what next step is.
Your dog was female and spayed??? Sometimes after a femal spaying the bladder will drop, and urine leaks...I ask the vet, how come dogs bladders fall after spaying, the vet said, You're reaching older age, why does your bladder fall in women...dogs do too.
Well.......hum....
Or like the other said, very much could be a urinary tract infection, is the urine sticky, orangy, smell different than other times, etc...
Urine doesn't leak out while napping or laying without it being something wrong...
And, the poor dog probably sad, cause shes potty trained and feels bad theres pee on the floor, and that stresses a dog, and if dog has any illness and you had stress you get further into complications...
Please call you vet and check in with them...

Much luck to you and yours, stay in touch...
My 6 year old Rottie started leaking about a month after we got her fixed. The vet said it was pretty common and perscribed Proin. She gets 2 tablets a day and it took about a month for it to take full effect, but we haven't had any problems after that.
My dobe does this to the point where she will soak the carpet when she naps and it's like a dripping faucet when she walks. She has a prolapsed bladder which came from having her fixed to early, although she was old enough. She is very very large, @ 125 lbs and around 3 ft tall and according to the vet she grew faster than the tube from her bladder to the outside and it stretched both the tube and the bladder until it fell. She takes pills every day and it is a great help, but if we miss one dose, she leaks again. We discussed surgery (A bladder tuck) but they are horribly expensive, about 3k in NC, and they have a very small success rate and they usually only last about 3-6 months if it goes well. So needless to say, we went with the pills and have had great luck.
Good luck!!
Thanks for the advice guys. I'll make an appointment for the vet!
She needs to see a Vet. Sounds like a UTI and treatable with antibiotics. Leaking urine is a good sign of infection....Take a urine sample with you, it will save on the cost of the clinic drawing the urine themselves...Hope she gets better.
If your dog is not aware of what she is doing, consult a vet. It could be an infection and your dog would need medication.
