my puppy is having seizures

Hi, the day after I brought home a then 6 week old puppy she had a seizure. I took her to the vet the next day, did bloodwork and all that came back was some anemia and low protein (hypoalbuminemia). She is a happy pup, eating and drinking, no vomiting or or diarrhea.  She did have tapes and I had her dewormed. We thought the funky labs and seizure may have been caused by hypoglycemia from the tapes.
Five days after the first seizure she had two more in one night and two days after that (today) she had another. I've been doing some research, hoping this isn't true epilepsy, and have come across only one other thing that it may be... toxoplasmosis.  She is exhibiting a few of the symptoms, but not all. I'm going to speak with the vet tomorrow about possibly trying a course of clindamycin before we start the seizure meds, just to see...
Anyone have any experience with idiopathic seizures in a pup this young?
Thank you in advance for any help!!!

Im sorry to hear about your pup. What breed is it? I would think it would be a seizure disorder. I had a pup who had them 9 of 14 yrs. he started to have them at age 5 and his breed is known for them I guess.  We maintained him well on meds. He had grand maul seizures, is your puppy having grand mal seizures? With a little more info hopefully we can help you and your pup.

I am sorry to read this, really.  I realize you are looking for help but who sold you or gave you a 6 week old puppy?  What breed is it?  Do you have any history on the parents or litter mates?  I believe it is transmitted through cat feces and us transmissible to humans so you have to be very careful with the environment, sanitizing, etc. the anemia could be from the Tape worms.  If this were toxoplasmosis, I think that would be one sick puppy.  I hope this is not what you are dealing with.  The Vet would have to do more extensive testing to make that diagnosis.
I only know the basics about this.  Maybe someone else has some experience.
With little information, I would lean toward some metabolic or seizure disorder.
Have you contacted whomever you got this puppy from?
Please keep us posted and good luck.
