Anyway to stop using Advair + Albuterol? Honestly & Seriously

Inner ears itch bad, gerd causing throat to feel as though there is something stuck, constant nose stuck and infection. Have gone through 3 sinus surgeries to correct Deviated septum ... was the last one. That was 6 mths ago. Cannot smell anything any longer... except sometimes after blowing of nose ... can smell again but for like a few seconds. I know these are allergies related or even the Gerd is causing breathlessness so I have to take albuterol + Advair diskus 250 or something... I know taking that is also causing me to develop rashes here and there but they are gone within days..... SERIOUSLY can anyone be weaned off from these Advair + Albuterol. I know if the Gerd is cured maybe the breathlessness will goaway as well... but sometimes I think the Gerd might have been caused by post nasal drip from all those sinus infections. or should I go for what they called a Turbinate coblation... which is a 10-20 mins procedure. ........ problem is I already had a sinus surgery just a few months ago... nose can breath a little better now but it still geta stuck on both nose when I sleep and tongue feels like a mummy when I get up....suggestions?

The doctor prescribe it for me. My case is quite boderline though not totally Asthma... but symptoms of it. The doctor did X Ray/ Ultrasound Scan and found it to be clear. I feel it might be allergies indirectly....I also hear that Advaid/ Albuterol can also cause GERD, it seems everything is interconnected or related.. one symptom leading to another indirectly.

Let's get to bottom of this first.

Advair and Albuterol are *asthma* medicines.  In your post, you do not describe any symptoms of asthma.  Do you actually have this disease?  If so, attempting to stop these medicines could be dangerous.

If you *don't* have asthma, then these medicines were inappropriately prescribed to you and stopping them should have no adverse effects -- and may actually be a very wise idea!

The symptoms you described should not be treated with those medicines.

The Yog Pranayam (breathing exercises) will  help with ear, nose throat and other related problems.Do it seriously everyday, with concentration and at the suggested duration, and in a few months you will know, if medication is required. You should notice some positive benefits in 3 weeks.
Build up your timing gradually. If you feel tired or dizzy, stop and resume after 1 minute.

Bhastrika - Take a long deep breath into the lungs(chest not tummy) via the nose and then completely breathe out through the nose. Duration 2 to 5 minutes.

Kapalbhati -(Do it before eating) Push air forcefully out through the nose about once per second. Stomach will itself go in(contract in). The breathing in(through the nose) will happen automatically. Establish a rhythm and do for 15 to 30 minutes twice a day. Not for pregnant women. Seriously ill people do it gently.

Anulom Vilom –
Close your right nostril with thumb and deep breath-in through left nostril
then – close left nostril with two fingers and breath-out through right nostril
then -keeping the left nostril closed  deep breath-in through right nostril
then - close your right nostril with thumb and breath-out through left nostril.
This is one cycle of anulom vilom.
Repeat this cycle for 15 to 30  minutes twice a day.
You can do this before breakfast/lunch/dinner or before bedtime or in bed.Remember to take deep long breaths into the lungs. You can do this while sitting on floor or chair or lying in bed.

Bhramri Pranayam -Close eyes. Close ears with thumb, index finger on forehead, and rest three fingers on base of nose touching eyes. Breathe in through nose. And now breathe out slowly through nose while humming like a bee.
Duration : 5 to 12  times

Once you are better, continue the pranayam once a day to stay healthy.

Have you ever tried a sinus cleanse? It's a simple saline solution...I have GERD,IBS, deviated septum on the right side,etc...and nothing...absolutely nothing worked until I tried the sinucleanse stuff.
Don't know how to treat the GERD,IBS, etc...can't take the pills as they give me really bad anxiety and panic attacks...but the sinuses, when cleared, seem to make everything else feel a lot better. Maybe it's all in my head? lol
Good luck
