Parotid Gland?

I've had a noticible mass under left ear for almost 2 years now. First doc said it was asymmetry. 2nd thought it was something superficial and not to worry. Now it's more obvious to me and combines with other symptoms. I have history of neck/back pain. Now I have a constant pain left side of neck, sense of pretty intense pressure at bottom of back of my head, clicking in neck when turning my head, ear pressure, and most recently intense shooting pain in my left arm around my elbow.
Tobacco chewer so even more concerned. Thought?

Had a CT done last week. Just got the results but my ENT is out of town so I have a week to wonder what this means. Any input is most appreciated.

Findings:
"There appers to ba a subtle 1.8cm nodule involving the posterior margin of the left parotid gland superficial lobe abutting the skin surface inferior to the pinna.

Conclusion:
"Probable subtle left parotid mass. Further evaluation with gadolinium enhanced MR neck recommended."

Londres70 is correct -- this should be examined further, no question.

Two years?  I would recommend having this mass biopsied, especially with your history of chewing tobacco.  What physicians gave you the first and second opinions; Family Physicians?

Hi,

you are noticing a mass below your left ear since 2 years, can you please specify whether it is the same or progressing in size. If it is progressing, it is better to consult your ENT specialist, if its the same then try drinking plenty of water and consume more citrus fruits which might help in reducing the swelling.

Regarding the neck /back pain I think, you must be having cervical spondylosis for which you need to get an x-ray done to confirm the diagnosis and consult a physiotherapist.Wiith exercises probably these symptoms may subside. I feel, there is no relation between paortid swelling and the neck pain, both are not related.
