Thanks everyone for your advice. I have to take her back next Wednesday. Sorry I always get myself worked up and the worse thing you can do is google things lol.
You are doing all of the right things, Katie. The most important thing was actually having a specialist exam your daughter. No amount of internet advice can compare to that. Follow his advice and have her rechecked in about a month (I'm sure he recommended something along those lines). Lymph nodes swell for all kinds of dull, boring reasons -- that's their job! Don't torture yourself with "worst case scenario" thinking.
Hi,
It is common for the children to have a glands (lymphnodes) enlarged. It usually happens during an ongoing infection. I feel the blood counts are normal do not worry about lymphomas/ leukemia.
The following symptoms are noticed:
Lymphomas:
1. fever and chills
2. sweating (particularly at night)
3. unexplained weight loss
Leukemia:
1. Anemia — Children with leukemia often have fewer than normal healthy red blood cells and platelets.
2. Recurrent infections - repetitive viral or bacterial infections. They often have symptoms of infection such as fever, runny nose and cough
3. Bone and Joint Pain
4. Abdominal Distress
5. Swollen Lymph Nodes
6. Difficulty Breathing
For her cold, I think you can try instilling saline nasal drops and encourage her to drink plenty of warm water.

From what you've written, I tend to agree with the ENT. My daughter would get the same thing. It's most probably nothing, but if it makes you feel better, take her to the pediatrician for reassurance. Hang in there! Parenting ain't easy!
