Lap surgery complications

I had laparoscopic surgery 12 days ago. They removed an ovarian cyst as wells as adhesions on my bowels and Fallopian tubes. I have had diarrhea off and on for about 5 days, I contacted my dr. and she told me this is normal when the bowel is involved and I have been taking Imodium that has been helping. Today I noticed some blood in my stool, do I need to be concerned? My dr is closed today and I don't know if I should go to the er.

Thanks for the suggestion. I saw a little blood the first time, but when I went again there was a lot of blood, so I went to an urgent care clinic. They think it is an anal tear, but since my family has a history of colon cancer they want me. To do a colonoscopy later this week.

Can you call your insurance company nurse? They usually have 24 hour help.
