Pelvic Cramping

I've had quite the time in the last two months with my cycles.  My LMP was Aug 5th, normal as can be.  I didn't get my next one until September 18th, but carried PMS symptoms from September 1st until now.  The period I had on the 18th was extremely painful, and I had large B/CL about the size of plums.  I've never experienced anything like it, and I am scared.  Went to the ER on the 11th of Sept, they did a urine test for pregnancy, I'm assuming it was neg, but he didn't tell me.  He did schedule me for a virginal autrasound though.  He informed me that I may have ovarian cycsts that are causing pain, and they can also mimic pregnancy symtoms.  He told me to go home, relax and try not to stress to much, and I should feel better after my period starts.  (I have tubal clamps, was done in 2001 so he wasn't concerned about pregnancy)
The problem is that the cramping is still there, no where near as painful as it was on the first day of my last period, but it periodically through out the day, lets me know that something is still wrong.  I get a pulsing cramp in my lower right abdomin, and it lasts only for a couple minutes.  Other problems are when I am excersizing, (I like to do belly dance cardio) and hip movements cause sharp pains in my right hip.  Sex hurts most of the time, but not in my belly, I only feel pain when he hits my cervix (blush).  I do feel the cramping shoot down my right leg sometimes.
Is anyone else experiencing this??  Could it be an ovarian cyst, or maybe endometriosis?  If it's endometriosis, could it not cause tissue to grow around my tubes, and give a slight higher chance of conception?  If it's a cyst, why did it not pop when I menstrated, like it's suppose to?
I go for ultrasound today at 1230pm, if anyone is interested in the results of it, I will post them here.

Thank You for the reply.  I am hoping that I will soon find out.  The tech who did my ultrasound have implied that I have 'healthy' looking ovaries, but then stated she could not give me a diagnosis, of course.  But she actually showed me all the follicles, and the roundness of them and replied "they are normal, healthy, cute (yes, she said 'cute') ovaries"  ..... so all I can think is that it's possibly endometriosis.... but won't know for sure until my Physical with my Doctor, which was bumped over to the 6th of October.  It was on the 1st, but Doc says he won't be there and had to reschedule... which is the worst time in my life for him to do that... but, what can I do but be patient.

Cysts don't always pop. I had two surgerically removed on July 10. I can tell you that one was 9 cm and the other was ruptured.
It possible that you have cysts or endometriosis, but the only way to know for sure is to have a lap. I know this is not what you want to hear, but if you are worried you should get it checked out.
Hope this helps,
Rhea
