I took part in 3 different Endometriosis studies. I would love to know the results and how it helped the study but in the end most likely that will not happen.

I took part in a DNA one about two years ago and just recently two more during surgery. They took pieces of tissue after it was tested for Endo and fluid in the pelvis. They are looking for certain factors to try to find out if certain cells, people etc carry something in common in order to try to diagnose Endo a better and faster way.

I mean, it would be nice to get the results but if that's not how they're running the study, then that's not how they're running the study.

It doesn't sound like it will do you any harm to participate. As a research assistant, I personally feel that if someone can help in a way that does not do them harm, it is almost like a duty for them to do it. For all you know, it could greatly influence research for this disease and help other people who have it in future.

If there is some aspect that you're particularly concerned about, then I'd just try to contact them about it.
