can smoking marijuana cause seizures?

I was wondering, the other night about a week and a half ago, I was smoking weed and it was a sunday. I have been smoking weed for awhile now I have not responded weird to it at all. so the next day i was in the bathroom and i had just got done washing and drying my hands. After that i fell to the floor and began going into a seizure. I was wondering if me smoking weed was the reason for me going into the seizure. I am somewhat concern that this is the reason that it happened but i would like someone to explain this further to me

I have not smoked weed in over 15 years but had not started having seizures until I started smoking..even though I stopped I still suffer from seizures like everyone else I feel it coming on, I start making noises like I am sucking my tounge, then I faze out with my eyes glazed over and open most times. most times I have it in my sleep which I start shaking hard enough my wife wakes up. I take Tegratol  and Depakote but it only seems to keep it under control and not stop it. Do you think what I was doing should still have this effect. I took a week long video eeg and had 1 seizure and they saw it come up and disappear on the screen and really could not see where it went and what effect that is causing the seizures and I have to do it all over again for another week

When I smoke I get partial seizure within 30seconds after the first inhale. I get a verrrry intense vibration up my spine and into a burning feeling on my head then comes the light visuals which are also extremely intense and followed by a sound that I describe as being in between 2 passing trains. The whole time I feel like I'm burning alive. Horrible pot, good pot, medicinal pot all have the same effect. Hash actually has different effects some good some horrible. For about 3 minutes after the effects wear off I feel amazing and then Dow n for a couple days...

Nothing else causes me to go into a what I would describe as a pshycosos state accept pot

Each time it was clean pot without a doubt. No chance it was laced

There is no way in hell it lowers my blood pressure.

And I have never tried a drug in my life not even alcohol when this started besides pot which I had actually enjoyed the first 50 times. The last 10 can be described by the word hell Lol.

Nothing in life scares me accept this feeling.

Jumping off 50foot bridges in the summer is fun to me
But smoking pot is  scary as a MF Lol

I've just been diagnosed with epileptic seizures, no memory, woke up in hospital.  Have Lupus, and a-fib. Very scary not remembering.  Doctors think smoking pot daily may have been preventing seizures.  I'm scared as to what could happen to me and I not remember

Medications for seizures can have very harmful side-effects and at times possibly kill you. where as marijuana does have damaging (non-severe/non-life threatening) effects, it is the one drug that has absolutely no possibility of death by using, where as all others do. There has not been one person found to be allergic to marijuana or to severely harm your body.

How is it possible for THC to both provoke and suppress seizures. I've been smoking for 10 years and not once did it cause a seizure for me, as a matter of fact it prevented them. marijuana causes a relaxing effect and calms the body down, it does not produce an anxious effect. One thing I will say though is when under the effects of THC, It does expand your thoughts and many other things. If you are thinking about something that can be fearful or depressive It can send you into a panic attack which will cause you're heart rate to increase. the side effects of marijuana are short term memory loss, a bit of laziness, hunger, drowsiness, and irritability (when not smoking it), and paranoia. It has never been known to cause any type of severe brain damage and has never killed anybody in the history of man kind by its own effect. It's not the marijuana that kills you it's the stupidity of what people do while under it's influence, such as driving, operating machinery, and so many other things that are just plain out idiotic(I refer to no one specifically in this comment). yes marijuana does have negative effects but that's not what should be focused on because those negative effects will not harm nor kill you. it is the positive effects that should be focused on while dealing with a sickness that marijuana can help suppress. The only way that THC can cause seizures is if you are in a depressive or fearful state because as I said before it expands your thoughts, and if you do use it in that state it will most likely send you into a panic attack and/or a seizure. I know this because i have experienced this myself by trying to use it to suppress fear and depression and it had the opposite effect I was looking for. Finally it's not the marijuana that can harm you, it's what type of mood you're in when you do it and what you are doing when you are under it's effect.
