EBV and Herpes Simplex (2)

Hi. 20 yrs ago I was diagnosed with Mono and 10 yrs ago active Epstein Barr Virus (which is not currently 'active' per recent blood tests) as well as Chronic Fatigue Immune Deficiency Syndrome, so I know I have an overall weakened immune system. Now I'm dating a great guy who was forthright & disclosed his recent HSV2+ status (score 5, which is rather high). My recent blood work shows, to my surprise, that I'm also HSV2+ but with a "low postive" score of 2.3, which is considered low and could be a false positive). I''ll probably get retested for a possible false + on the HSV2, which is recommended, but assuming my 2nd test is the same, I'm wondering:

1.) Due to my EBV (already compromised immune system), am I at any greater risk of contracting full blown herpes (HSV2) ?

2.) Since I'm already HSV2+ but scored a 'low positive', could having sex with my 'high score' HSV2+ partner me at any greater risk or make things worse, or doesn't it matter since I'm already exposed? (I should add that he firmly believes he is contagious since his former lover contracted it from him). I also posted this question on the HSV2 forum.

Thanks!

Just got retested and scored 3.6 (last time was 2.3) so I'm definitely HSV2+. Still not sure if there's any correlation betw this and EBV or if having sex with my 'higher score' HSV2+ partner can put my in any danger. My EBV is currently dormant, but I dont want to bring in back of course.

If you are still having immunity problems then yes any virus you get has the potential to be very active I would retest to make shure that you are indeed positive for it then go from there
