EBV

The second week of this September I came down with a mild fever, sore throat, tongue ulcers, loss of appetite and extreme fatigue. I got really scared and started assuming the worst. Went in two days after to get a CBC blood count and STD blood panel, which had the fourth generation HIV test as well. My CBC came back normal and all STD blood panel including HIV test came back negative. A week after I went again because symptoms were still there and my Dr requested a mono and EBV test. Mono was negative and EBV was high and equivocal because it was in between negative, but closer to positive. They ordered for me to come back, which I did this passed Monday. This morning I got the results and mono is still negative but EBV is still high and is still equivocal. And once again they want me to re do it in two weeks. Has anyone gone through the same please advise. It's really made me depressed and anxious.

update: my Dr contacted me last night to explain my results for the EBV IGM and he said that it's not equivocal. It's positive, so that I currently have it right now and have to ride it out and that it can take weeks to up to 6 months until I start feeling better.  I hope this is over soon as I'm beyond annoyed with how tired I feel all the time. I was also given ointment for my tongue ulcers that are caused due to stress and anxiety.
