ED with healthy male

My mate and I have been together for nearly six months now, at the beginning he was informed me that he had difficulty staying hard with anyone. But we were pretty well off together. Now he is starting to experience numbness as well in his penis. But he has been through the tests and they found nothing wrong with him.
I used to get numb from to much self pleasure with a high powered wand. So I am no noob to the frustration of lack of release. I am so worried for him, I love him greatly and do my very best to help him. Especially since my sex drive is much higher than his. I am 30 and he is 42 but I want him to be able to enjoy his sex drive like he should....can anyone help me out by telling me what else can cause ED other than diabetes or Neuro problems?? He can still achieve release just not as often as he would like. And it's bringing him so much misery I want so badly to help him that it hurts my heart.

Hey, sorry to hear about this situation.  It sounds like you're being supportive, so that ought to be a huge help to him.  Other causes of ED can be hormonal (I've heard that oral medication for hair loss can have ED side effects, for example), also arterial blockages (not just from diet and that, but it could be from injury where the blockages would be localized), also scar tissue... I'm not sure if he has taken Viagra or Cialis but that could be a help.  There are other more invasive interventions available now too that he could try, depending on the cause of the issue.
