Blinking light

Hello.

So recently, for maybe about a year or so I’ve been having this experience where it’s as if the light is blinking. Like the entire light in your apartment turns off and on again. Everything goes dark and then it’s immediately back on. It lasts a fraction of a second, not even a full second.

For a while I thought that’s exactly what was happening. The house lights are blinking. But recently I started thinking what if it  is my vision. I have no other symptoms. Lasts less than a second. Maybe I just don’t notice how I blinked or something… or it actually is the house lights…but recently this got me worried..this is the only symptom I have never had problems with my eyes. I have no heath issues to my knowledge…

You do need to see an ophthalmologist for a complete eye exam and evaluation of your symptoms. As a generalization, this type of complaint often occurs in anxious individuals that hone in on changes of vision that occurs with the blinking reflex. But do have it checked by eye MD
