Cateracts

About two years back I had toxiplasmolysis and I was treated for it by an eye doctor. And after that my eye has stayed at that state but very slowly went on increasing floaters. By the time my doctor treated my eye there was a big floater lying a side of retina which actually drives across the field of vision when eye is moved. However I have no clue what to do, weather it can be dissolved or removed . Please give me some suggestions on this case in the light of today's advanced medicine.

Floaters are irritating but nothing to worry about unless they suddenly increase in number and are accompanied by any loss of vision. If this happens seek medical attention immediately. Be sure to wear good quality sunglasses to prevent cataracts.  Please visit our section on eye care and see  other articles on how to age well/a>

Use the search feature and archives to read about floaters. No medicine to disolve them is available except in research setting. Laser and vitrectomy generally not indicated. Discuss with your ophthalmologist. Usually its "get use to it"
