Cure for Toxoplasmosis vision loss?

Hello, My name is Suzanne.  I am 20 years old, I was born 3 months pre-machure and was diagnosed with toxoplasmosis since birth. My vision in my left eye is about 20/2000 and right eye is 20/800 give or take a few.  I also have something similar to a lazy eye where my eye's move on their own due to low muscle and high nerve activity from what I can remember :) I dont really know much about my eye condition as of now other than what causes it, and what my vision is currently like.  But to get to the point I was wondering if there is any type of cure for vision loss from toxoplasmosis? I have Retina Scaring that has been there since birth and from what I am remembering I am pretty sure that is the cause for 90% of my vision loss. If you can please respond back I will be checking every day in hopes that someone has any information!

The eye movement is called "nystagmus".  There are some very promising research being done on the eye involving: artifical maculas created with microelectronics or nanotechnology and grwoing a new macula using stem cells derived eye tissue. None of these are standard treatment and it may be several years before they are widely available. Some time we will be able to help the problem but not righ now.
