Eye Floaters

I slept a few nights under the AC. Then I got a fever, sore throat, and serious sinus infection with pressure above the eyes, under the eyes, and at my temples. I also had a lot of congestion and mucus. If I put my head down I could feel the sinus pressure cause pain. The sinus pressure was really bad, but decreased. Light sinus pressure continued for about a month or so. It is now about 6 weeks past the sinus infection and I still have slight pressure in sinuses.
The only thing that has caused me to worry is eye floaters! I had a lot of eye floaters last week! I too some antihistamine and it decreased them. Then I stopped it and they increased. I did not return to the antihistamine. I still see eye floaters, however it is much better than before! I see only a few like 1-3 sometimes. It is present in both eyes. It is clearing up and I do believe they will go away completely, but it was just alarming having because it was like putting on dirty goggles.
Could the eye floaters have been caused by the sinus infection/pressure on the eyes?

Thank you.

Use the search feature and archives and read the many posts about floaters. The sinus infection and antihistamines did not cause the floaters. Since this is a new problem you should see an eye MD ophthalmologist or optometrist to make sure they are the harmless type of floaters.  Call tomorrow.

Ok. Thank you. But if it wasn't the sinus pressure on the eyes, then what could have caused the floaters?
I am scheduling to see a ophthalmologist within the next 2 days. Thank you.
Floaters usually appear spontaneously due to changes that occur in the "Vitreous" which is a jello like substance in the back of the eye.  Discuss with the Eye MD ophthalmologist you see.
Ok, thank you. Will do.

I did not see flickering lights. I may have had a little blurry vision though. I started wearing my glasses for the first time ever in public. It improved the sharpness of the vision. I haven't been wearing them since last week though, as the eye floaters are almost resolved... I am 25 years old. My left eye is better at close range and a little fuzzy for far range. My right eye is good at both distances.
