Eye pain after eye exam

I had a complete eye exam today with dilation around 12pm.Its 5pm now.My pupils are still dilated and I m feeling discomfort and pain.Should I be concerned?

That ströng bright light which drs projected on eyes does not damage the eyes.I asked from my dr and she said some cells can be effected but that will be recovered soon.

Do they shine those bright light to your eyes? When I get mine done with a Indirect ophalscopy (spelling?), it was bright and it causes me to have after images, I was afraid those would damage my eyes too.

Thanks dr.Everything is fine now.I have another question in my mind.can eye exam cause damage to eyes? Especially the camera lens type device which is placed directly in the eyes.?
