Floaters from inflammation

Does rubbing your eyes cause floaters? I have had them dialated 4 times because I had a huge increase in floaters. I have blepheritis so am wondering if the inflammation from that causes them and/or rubbing your eyes which I am not going to do anymore just a reflex when your eyes itch from the infection. When the inflammation goes down will the floaters settle more? I am almost 30 and went from none to so many which again have been checked by 3 people and a total of 4 times. Thanks

i am like you .around your age. i have had an eye check up and had my eyes dialated 3 times.. after the second dilation i got floaters. alot of them i have been looking at for the last two months its scarry because all my life i never had no floaters.. i went in for a check up because of a speck of rust stuck to my eye and had it removed and i need eye medication to heal it up... so my advice is dont get your eyes checked unless there is a real bad problem. them doing the dialations make problems worse even if they say floaters are "normal" i feel that its not normal and the dialations cause the damage i dont care what eye doctors say. proof is what i see.. now my better then 20/20 vishion is full of floaters and other problems.. thank u great doctors!!

Floaters are not caused by rubbing your eyes or blepharitis. Use the search feature and read the many posts about floaters.
