Heaviness in One eye

For the past 2-3 days I have been feeling heaviness in my right eye. The left eye is just fine. I had my eyesight checked and they say 6/6 in both eyes, but the problem is as I read with my right eye I can read a sentence but it's not as clear as with my left eye, and there is feeling of heaviness and discomfort, nothing more than that. I have a bit of previous medical history with my right eye. 3 years ago I received a blow to my head. After that blow, my right eye vision became all blurry. I went to an ophthalmologist for a checkup, and he told me there was blood in my vitreous and gave me an injection. After that injection my vision improved to almost perfect in a week or so. Then he examined my eye again and told that there are blood vessels proliferating at the back of my eye, which bleed and give me the symptoms. He cauterized those vessels and the problem was solved. My vision has been perfect since then. I am preparing for the USMLE, Step 1, for which I need to use my laptop 8-10 hours daily. For the past 2-3 days I have been having this problem of heaviness in my right eye and in the right eye the vision is not as clear as in the left eye . I can read just fine but this discomfort is troubling me. Your suggestions?

Your right eye (RE) obviously sustained major trauma with blood in vitreous, injections and laser.  Likely some of the damage was permanent and you might expect it not to be as strong as LE especially under stress and prolonged use. It's also possible you may have had damage to the muscles that move the eye or hold the eyelid open.  Since these changes seem new I would suggest you contact your ophthalmologist to see if an office exam is needed. Good luck with your examination.

Thanks doctor... i went to my ophthalmologist today.... He said the laser done in the periphery has probably damaged my rods and cones due to which i am experiencing the symptoms....
Glad you were able to see your eye MD. Again best of luck on the test.
