post cataract shadow "INNER" right eye near nose

I had cataract surg 4 weeks ago. I have a dark shadow in the inner lower corner of my right eye near the nose. In a dark room I can see light around the rim. during the day its the same half circle but looks like im looking through a bubble. I've read about negative dysphotopsia, but they complain of a crescent shape to their outside and mine is to the inside of my eye. Can ND effect the inner rather than the outer (peripheral) vision?

You need to report this to your surgeon immediately and have your pupil dilated to be sure you do not have a retinal detachment.  That being the case the most common cause would be negative dysphotopsia.  This usually, but not always, is gone 2-3 months post op. My wife just had cataract/IOL surgery and had positive dysphotopsia for about 3 weeks.
