Correlation between Retinal tear/detachment and myopic macular degeneration

This may seem like an odd question but just thought I'd ask. So i am severely nearsighted (-11.25 and -9.75) and I understand I have pathological myopia as I did have a retina tear once in 2008 and once in 2017 (luckily both were caught super early and treatd easily and quickly with a laser with no complications and no changes to vision).

Does having the tear/detachemnt due to high myopia also raise the risk of mypic macular degeneration (MMD)? I know I am at an increased risk for MMD (along with glaucoma, more tears/detachemtns, etc.) due to my severe myopia, but what I mean is does the fact that I had the retinal tears put  me at an increased risk compared to if I didn't have any tears but same amount of myopia and same axial length?

No, your risks are significant for all those but having tear/RD does not increase risk of the other factors as a primary problem.
