Lattice degeneration

I am a male, aged 41. Around six years back, I was diagnosed with peripheral lattice degeneration with holes in both eyes, when I visited an eye specialist for complaints of floaters. I was treated with laser barrage in both eyes.
I am working in  a Steel Plant. One activity of my department is to measure temperature of a stream of hot metal (Iron) coming out of a blast furnace, with an infrared pyrometer. Temperature of the metal stream is around 1350 to 1450 degree centigrade.
Is it safe for me to measure the temperature of the hot metal stream ?

I would not get too overly concerned.  Just be sure if you see flashes or new floaters, you contact a retinal specialist.   I am 33 and have lattice.  I have been having a PVD for the last year.  Not to scare you, but as a result I have had to have three surgeries for retinal tears and laser for prevention of my lattice to try and prevent future tears.  Just another obstacle in life.  I still see 20/15 with my glasses,  but the floaters can be annoying at times.  I am also moderately myopic. Just don't let this rule your life like I did for about six months after all this started happening.   It makes for a miserable existence.  Good luck.

That sounds like hazardous work, with respect to the eyes it should not bother your lattice (which I have also) or the laser treatment. Do be careful.
