preventative laser for lattice

I had partially detached retina layered a year ago. I have been to three retina docs bc the first tow had wildly different opinions as to concerns that I had (exercise, buckle vs non buckle, etc.) I have lattice in a small area of my other eye. 2 docs say absolutely not to preventative laser and the other said he wanted to do laser around lattice. Dr. Hogan...do you have an opinion on preventative laser for a lattice section ?  Thanks so much

Of course I can't look into your eye so this is not a formal opinion. However I would probably go with the two that recommend NOT treating.  I am myopic and have lattice in both eyes and have never had it treated. Treatment involves risks also and does not guarentee the eye won't have a RD.
