dilation for fundus examination

Hello hope everybody going well.I would like to know if frequent dialation for examing the retina can cause problems in the future.if the exam is twice a week?Could the drops or the light of the exam cause future deganaration to any part of the eye? ie cornea,iris,macula,retina or optic nevre?

Thank you doctor.My sister had so many dilated exams the last three months because she had some serious retina damage and she wanted many doctors opinions she hasnt find the doc she is looking for though!I have started to think that she is going to get future damage if she does these exams twice a week or more.
