Hello,
Visited with my Retina Specialist, which I see every 6 months. Of the numerous things going with my right eye, the main issue I think is the Macula Edima, which is distorting my vision. He feels that the degeneration may have come to a Plateau, as there was no change that he could see looking into my eye and the images they had taken. He does not want to do any surgery at this time, as it may create more issues than it could fix and we are now watching and waiting to see what may change. He did mention at one time there was a drug company trying to make something that would focus on the swelling to dissipate it, So I thought I would ask here is there is anything new under the sun? Here is the detailed list from last visit with my regular eye DR.
Myopic choroidal neovascular membrane right eye
epiretinal membrane right eye
Macular edema right eye secondary to epiretinal membrane
posterior vitreous detachment right eye
Ocular hypertension right eye
Degenerative Myopia Progressive Right Eye with thickening and scar tissue in macula right eye
Thank You,
John
