You should discuss your symptoms with your Eye MD surgeon.

Hi,
I also developed a large floater in my right eye, as well as a flash of light in my left eye after laser photocoagulation for retinal holes. I was asymptomatic prior to the laser treatments.
1. Floaters are not common after lasers BUT laser is often done for conditions that cause floaters such as retinal holes, tears, detachments or bleeding in the eye as for example diabetic neuropathy.
2. Temporary or permanent dilations of the pupil (partial or complete) CAN occure after laser treatment if a hole is located over the nerves to the pupil in which case they can be damaged by the laser. It should be noted that these nerves are not visible to the physician treating.
