Punctal Plugs
Recently I received Punctal Plugs for extreme Dry Eye. However they keep coming out. Does anyone have any experience with this and can you offer suggestions about what I can do to help maintain the plugs in my eye?
though i am not a doctor i have had an expierence similar to yours with the punctal plugs. my eye doctor after 3-4 times of putting them back in spoke briefly with me about doing a full closure of them where they burn the tear ducts with a laser to keep them fully closed off. i did opt out for this part but i thought id share.
Hello, I am considering punctal plugs as well. Is there any down side to them? Is it considered a last resort solution to dry eyes? Wetting drops do not help me and almost seem to make the dryness worse sometimes. Thank you!
