Safe to scuba with lattice degeneration?

I have lattice degeneration in my eyes. It's been stable for years now. I'm considering taking lessons to get certified in scuba diving, but certification requires completing dives of up to 20'-30' (roughly 6-9 meters). At those depths, pressure is about 3-4 times what it is on the surface, and there would obviously be pressure changes while diving to, and surfacing from, those depths. Is it safe for me to take the scuba lessons, given the lattice degeneration?

Just wanted to add, the pressure around the eyes should, in theory, be equalized at any depth, since the mask I'd be wearing covers the eyes and the nose.

There is some theoretical risk, like glaucoma and scuba. You would need to discuss with your ophthalmologist.
