Starbursts and streaks after YAG for cataracts

I had cataract surgery in June, which went well (monofocal IOL in one eye.  I’m a 44m).  Began to get halos in the eye in low light settings, went back to the doc and he suggested YAG.  Had the YAG three days ago and halos went away, but now I have intense starbursts in that eye.  It is very distracting while driving and I am panicking.  I’m going to call my doc tomorrow but don’t wang to overreact - is this something that should settle down or are there other things he can do to help?  Starbursts come when wearing glasses, contacts, and without.

It is not normal and you should continue your efforts to get in to see your surgeon tomorrow. It doesn't have to be serious but could be. That is all the reassurance I can give without an exam.
